Test Specialist Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Identify, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with developers to understand the software requirements and design test plans.
- Perform both manual and automated testing to verify product functionalities.
- Create and manage test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on potential issues.
- Monitor and track testing progress and results against project timelines.
- Identify areas of improvement in the product or testing process and suggest feasible solutions.
Test Specialist Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, QTP, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
