Pipe Stress Engineer Responsibilities & Duties

  • Preparing and reviewing piping and equipment specifications and datasheets.
  • Conducting field inspections, site surveys, and fabrication shop inspections.
  • Providing technical guidance to project teams and vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and contractors.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments and new technologies.

Pipe Stress Engineer Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pipe stress analysis.
  • Experience with CAESAR II, PV Elite, and other piping analysis software.
  • Strong understanding of ASME B31.3 and other industry codes and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
