Autism Motor Specialist Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field
  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism
  • Certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) interventions
  • Strong understanding of motor development and sensory processing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans based on individual needs
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a related field.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in the state.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with autism, specifically in motor development and training.
  • Knowledge of various motor development and training approaches, including sensory integration and motor learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while also demonstrating independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
